Enjoy
a walk down the lanes of nature with the pleasure sight of holy river Ganga in
this striking garden opposite to the Kashtaharni Ghat. Named after the proud
son of Munger and the first Chief Minister of Bihar, Dr. Shri Krishna Singh, Shri
Krishna Vatika is
an interesting place. There are two tunnels in the Krishna Vatika and efforts
have been made in the past to pass through the tunnels but in vain as it proved
to be life threatening. The garden also has tombs of Gul and Bahar, wards of
Mir Kasim. It is said that Gul and Bahar used to hide under the tunnels in
order to weaken vengeance upon the British officers.

Kashtaharni Ghat
Located
on the banks of river Ganges, this place doesn’t only hold religious importance
for the Hindus but is also a wonderful spot to spend one’s morning and evening

bathed at this site while returning to Ayodhya. Kashtaharni literally means- “the
bathing place which expels all pain“. According to popular beliefs,
bathing in the Kashtaharni
Ghat relieves all
the pain and soothes mind, body and soul. Very close to this Ghat is a place
called Manpathar. It is a rock in the bed of the river giving the impression of
two feet supposedly to be the feet of Goddess Sita.
